Can urban homegardens enhance food security? A case study from Uganda’s growing capital Kampala

This poster presented at the Cambridge Conference on Global Food Security 2016, provides preliminary results of PhD fieldwork conducted in 2015. The project aims at assessing the importance of urban food plant resources for food security. While the findings presented are still preliminary, Kampala’s homegardens can be considered highly diverse and show a potential important role for urban food security.
