Dear colleagues, partners, alumni and friends of SLE,
We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming SLE Joint International Research Project (JIRP) Series 2025, where the current 63rd cohort will present their research designs for collaborative fieldwork in Cambodia, Zambia and Vietnam.
The JIRP Research Design Series is an important moment in the SLE calendar—bringing together applied research, international partnerships, and real-world development challenges. These presentations are the result of intensive preparation by interdisciplinary teams, working closely with partner institutions in the respective countries. They will share their research questions, methods and approaches for discussion and feedback.
We especially welcome participation from our alumni, whose practical experience, critical insight and support continue to shape the SLE community. Whether you’re interested in the research themes, the countries or simply want to reconnect, this is an excellent opportunity to re-engage.
We also warmly encourage researchers, practitioners, and university colleagues working in relevant fields to join the discussions and contribute perspectives.
